Person of Interest ReviewThis is the first LGBTQ fiction book that I have read, and I was not disappointed! The story line is interesting, and keeps the reader guessing until the end. Several times, I thought I knew where the author was taking the story, only to be surprised on the next page. I liked that Ms. Doherty not only had a lesbian couple as the main characters, but she also had a gay couple as their best friends! The villain in the story, Paul, is very easy to despise, and yet, he could easily be the guy next door. 5-Stars!Person of Interest OverviewBuried in the darkest recesses of Jodie Ellis's mind are horrific memories of her ex-husband Paul, whose wealth and charm masked a domineering personality. After their wedding, his volatile temper mushroomed into violence: Paul imprisoned Jodie in the basement of their house, where he tortured her for days. Thanks to her childhood friend Dina, Jodie narrowly escaped with her life and sent Paul to prison. Afterwards, she began a new life with Dina, but remained haunted by the trauma she endured at Paul's hands. Ten years later, Paul is up for parole, and Jodie receives a mysterious phone call with a tantalizing offer: testify in favor of Paul's release, so that another victim from his past can kill him. When Paul is released and turns up dead hours later, Jodie becomes the prime suspect. She and Dina find themselves fighting against the odds to keep Jodie from going to prison forever. Person of Interest is a dramatic whodunit that will keep readers spellbound until the very last word.
