The only useful feature of this book is that it has a "laundry list" of items to consider. The author is not from strong analytical powerhouses, such as Capital One or Chase and not even from the US industry. I don't mean to be condescending, but the level of consumer lending is far higher in the US than say in the Dominican Republic or Panama. On top of it, the author, a non-native speaker of English, has a style that makes it difficult to read, even though the content is fairly simple. A truly analytical risk book is easy to read and has a more complex content.
If you think, I am biased, check this out, the whole book has no single equation and no single diagram or curve!
