This book, Good Judgement Does Not Embarrass the Bureau - FBI Finesse and Faux Pas by Ruth Anderson is very well written and kept my interest. The story commences with a 1975 legal deposition between the United States of America and the Soviet spy Sarkis O. Paskalian. It outlines how a Special Agent for the United States of America single handedly terminated illegal activities in our country by the Russian mob. We meet Curtis Story, Special Agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation and follow him through his intriguing profession from being a novice spy to his retirement. The book gives an indepth glipse into the life of Curtis depicting him as this soulful, suave, intelligent and multilingual family man who just happens to be a Secret Agent. It depicts his personal and professional experiences through funny anectdotes and serious faux pas. It ends with a beautifully written poem at Curtis's retirement describing specific events and colleagues and not so beloved bosses throughout his career. After having read this book I was moved and felt very patriotic and proud that people like Curtis Story are really out there protecting our country.
