It has a strong organized core illustrated by the personal narratives of global cosmopolitans. Like the late eminent and prolific writer/psychiatrist Robert Coles, Brimm has her students describe and examine their own story. Reading these pages caused me to pause and examine my journey through my life's phases. I was particularly moved by the section in which students described how they moved from a stage of loss to a stage of transformation. Clearly, Brimm agrees with Plato that, "The unexamined life is not worth living." This book testifies to the work she has done over the years in helping her own grad business students to examine their cosmopolitan lives.
